Dia de Los Muertos

We had a fabulous trip to Mexico for Dia de Los Muertos - Day of the Dead, a three-day Mexican holiday to honor and celebrate loved ones who have passed away. Here a few pictures from our trip.

La Catrina highly popularized by José Guadalupe Posada, is the skeleton of an upper class woman, and one of the most popular figures of the Day of the Dead celebrations.

On every corner and in every Zocalo (city center) there are offerings for those who have died. The colors, food, and flowers are spectacular!
